Nodes supporting the development of the Stellar blockchain organization Stellar Development Foundation (SDF) have stopped confirming transactions on the network. But, thanks to the decentralized organization, the network continued its work
According to the SDF statement, the failure occurred around noon on April 6:
“The SDF’s public Horizon API is also temporarily down. However, the Stellar network is still online.”
The organization reported that it is working to solve the problem, but noted that the network is still working, despite the fact that its own SDF nodes are not functioning:
“Since the network is decentralized and most of the nodes of the Stellar network validators are still functioning, the network continues to process transactions. The network itself has not stopped working. In addition, anyone using their own Horizon instance can still use the API to confirm transactions and request network data.”
At the moment, Stellar is among the top 15 cryptocurrencies in terms of market capitalization with an indicator of more than $ 11 billion.
