According to Reuters, Binance plans to open new corporate offices in Ireland
Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao was asked about opening a headquarters in Ireland and he answered in the affirmative. Earlier, he stated that Binance does not have a headquarters and the company’s employees do not work in one place. However, it may be that the offices in Ireland will simply be part of a larger network of offices.
Irish Resources reported that on September 27, the company registered three firms in the country: Binance (APAC) Holdings, Binance (Services) Holdings and Binance Technologies. Earlier, the company registered Binance (Ireland) Holdings. Although three firms have been registered, they will all operate from the same location — in a building in the south of Dublin.
One of the factors that prompted Binance to look for new jurisdictions to work in may be regulatory issues. The main markets for Binance were China and Asia, but it recently lost some of them when it limited work opportunities for clients from mainland China and Singapore.
It is not yet clear why Binance chose Ireland as the next target market. There is an assumption that the company could be attracted by the lack of restrictive regulation of cryptocurrencies and low tax rates.
